1. PROGRAM OVERVIEW
1.1. Introduction
Diploma of Theology is an ideal starting point for studying the Bible, theology and mission and is a great stepping stone to any future study. It provides you with 2.5 years credits towards a degree and includes a unique Mission Week experience and Practical Field Education in a church or mission organization. This diploma will provide you with a solid scriptural foundation to grow your Christian faith and develop your ministry skills.
The Diploma of Theology (Dip.Th.) is a 72 credit hour intermediate level education in theology. The program is ideal for students preparing for higher education in theology.

Note: RTS offers a duration of 2.5 years to complete the degree but in case of course drop by the student, the length of degree will be extended but the maximum allowed limit is 7 years to complete the course work.

- To serve better through theological tools and skills in various ministries.
- To lead a local church or other group by means of biblical exposition, leadership skills, evangelism and service.
3. PROGRAM OUTCOMES
Graduates of the Diploma in Theology will
- have concrete foundational skills for critical study of Christian texts.
- have skills to explain and tackle theological issues and scriptural knowledge effetively.
- Gain confidence to serve others through spiritual, theological and biblical discourse.
Admission requirements :
Successful completion of 10 years of schooling plus some experience as an apprentice in a trade, profession and/or ministry.
Requirements for Educators:
For faculty in campus-based institutions
Qualification – a Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of teaching experience. Training in education and adult learning is desirable.
- Core faculty to cover the areas of study.
- Teaching load – 12 hours per week for course developers in non-campus-based institutions and online programs
Graduation Requirements The student passes an assessment of his or her achievement of the graduate profile for this award, including:
- Successful completion of 72 credit units.
- An assessment of field education/practical ministry involvement that meets set requirements.
- An assessment of character, spiritual development and ministry capacity that meets set requirements/standards.
